Oano Crochet has been so kind to give me permission to write down her pattern in English.
The pattern is suitable for at lot of different things, and you can downscale or upscale as you please.
In the first place, I made the pattern into som pot holders (is that the right name, when you can’t stick your hand into it? *lol*)

Oana has made a youtube-video which will guide you, if you need som help. It’s inserted at the bottom of this post.
Furthermore Karina from Miller’s Hæklerier has been so sweet to let me use an image of her creations in this pattern.

ATTENTION: At first your work can be very wrinkly, but it will get better along the way

If you want, you can make a backside for it too. Just follow the pattern again, but change all the fpdc into bpdc. It is also recommended to make 1 round less, – then the backside will make a better fit.
Another idea is to sew some fabric onto the backside.

I really hope you can use this pattern, and that you will share an image of your finished products. You can comment and upload a photo at the very bottom of this post.

EXTRA: Maybe you’ll like my overview of crochet-terms in different countries here

This is what you need:

G-6 hook
Yarn made from cotton (or something that can resist heat).
I’ve used some yarn called: Drops I Love You 9.
It’s 125 meters long (136 yards) and weighs 50 grams (1.76 ounces)
You’ll need about 60-65 grams for 1 potholder.

If anyone know what’s that eqivalent too in fx. the States, please leave me a message 🙂

This is the stitches you need to know:

Now you need to be aware of your decreases. Your decreases from the previous round will in the beginning and end look like two stitches, but they are actual only 1 stitch.

I will try to explain (maybe I will confuse more than I’m helping 😉 )
You can get help in the video: Around 23 minutes into the video.

At the first decrease you’ll go under the 2 stitches (that’s really only 1), yarn over, back under the stitches, yarn over, pull through 2, under 1 stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 3.
At the last decrease you’ll go under 1 stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2, under 2 stitches (that’s really only 1), pull through, yarn over, pull through 3“.

Round 11:
Chain 3, 9 bpdc
*2 fpdc together, 1 fpdc, 2 fpdc in the same stitch, 9 bpdc, 1 dc, chain 2, 1 dc, 9 bpdc* x5
2 fpdc together, 1 fpdc, 2 fpdc together, 9 bpdc, 1 dc, chain 1, 1 hdc in the 3. stitch to finish the round.

“You’ll now go under 2 stitches (that’s really only 1), yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2, under 1, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2, under 2 stitches (that’s really only 1), yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 4”.

Round 12:
Chain 3, 10 bpdc
*3 fpdc together, 1o bpdc, 1 dc, chain 2, 1 dc, 10 bpdc* x5
3 fpdc together, 10 bpdc, 1 dc, chain 1, 1 hdc in the 3. stitch to finish the round.

Karina from Miller’s Crochet has chosen to make an addition to Oana’s pattern.
It is Karina’s potholders you see in the pattern here.

Step 1: Sc all the way around – At the corners you vill make 3 sc in same stitch.
Step 2: If you want something to hang the potholders on,make 1 sc, chain 20, 1 sc.
Step 3: Sc all the way around x2, remember 3 sc in the corners.
